Vanderbilt Transfer Thread [Fall 2017]

Mine says that too. I dont think that was there before either.

I’m pretty sure thats always been there

@ksleeper in addition to FAFSA, you need to fill out CSS Profile (a more in depth FAFSA basically but by collegeboard and costs money to submit) for certain schools. Vandy is one of those schools. I’m not sure when the deadline was but I think it was Feb 1 however I’m sure you can submit it after! I’m not sure how strict that deadline is anyway

Well my advisor(Parke) didn’t tell me anything about it. So hopefully that won’t be a dealbreaker.

@ksleepr FA doesn’t affect admissions. It may affect if you get aid or how much or something

https://admissions.vanderbilt.edu/dates/
it’s found here, but it says priority so i’m sure you can still fill it @ksleeper
and yeah it only potentially affects financial aid

Ah okay…I’m 31 so I’m considered an independent student anyways so it’s not like filling it out will be difficult.

Where do I find the form I need to fill out?

type in college board and CSS, it should come up

If I’m so fortunate enough to get in, do you think I’d be able to change my course of study? I applied as an Econ major, but I’m liking the Human and Organizational Development program more and more.

I sent my CSS after I got accepted to UNC and my financial aid was fine. I plan to only send my CSS to vandy if they accept me.

I’m not going to worry about unless I get accepted. I looked up the website and started entering in the basics but the site looks like it is mainly for setting up taking the SATs. Vanderbilt waived that requirement for me because I’m an old dude lol

Hi Guys! I’ve been lurking on the thread forever and I’ve never posted because my stats are so horrible compared to everyone else but I just wanted to say this is such a great group of people! You guys keep my hopes alive. Good luck to everyone!

If i get in tmr, I’m buying y’all pizzas

My Financial Aid tab hasn’t changed either. It only has those two rows checked off. I did submit everything to do with F.A pretty early in the process though.

@ksleeper Are you applying to any other college besides Vanderbilt? The non traditional transfer student is sought after at many top institutions around the country!

@limitsbylaw that’s a tough one to answer because that would be changing from CAS to Peabody, but i’m sure you can once you’re enrolled(?)

@gottagetbetter01 aww! my stats are bad compared to everyone else too but I’m sure we shine in our own way ha

If we all get in, were having a celebration before school starts in the fall

Though I want everyone to get in, I do look forward to your acceptance, @somehmonggirl I have a special respect for people who have that unique kind of determination to try again, something that has pulled me through the downs in life.

It’s a only a feeling I have, but it’s a strong one saying that you will be admitted.
