The waiting isn’t even what gets me, it’s the very peculiar inconsistency with the information being given.
The vague “soon” and “sometime at mid april” are O.K and all, but then we get “next week” and “May 1st”.
I think we can all agree that even if it were May 1st, we’d feel much more relieved it we got an email saying “decisions will be released May 1st so and so P.M, count on it”.
Well, when I called on Thursday (I think, might have been Friday), they told me that my decision would come out “in a few days”. I’m guessing that means that my decision is ready, which probably means that they won’t be releasing individual rolling decisions.
Or probably, front-desk staff really does not know anything. I went to the admissions once and I called twice today. I even tried to reach the counselor I knew, but she was on a business trip abroad…
Ive come to the conclusion that the answers from the Vanderbilt admissions office are about as salient as the patriots injury report.(please tell me somebody watches football and gets this reference)
@somehmonggirl I don’t know. She answed my call when I called Vanderbilt admissions office. Maybe she is just a front desk person, but she sounded like someone who knows all the stuff.
@ILR2020 I feel like the very certain answer you received from the person on the line is a good indicator that decisions won’t come out this week. Which sucks.
At some point we need to contact the mods and ask them to put a little asterisk on the title of this thread indicating the page in which decisions started coming in hahaha I think we’d be doing the future nervous users a huuuge favor.
So I tried calling again and the front desk staff told me that she does not really know and their on-call counselors are all out of office but she asked me to leave a message and wait for a call back. Hope he will call back though…
