ChicagoBears- I’m almost positive the admissions counselor would know. i want to ask mine as well… So tempting. I really hope I’m in the first batch!

I just e-mailed my counselor to make sure the first batch was indeed mailed out, I’ll let you guys know if she replies back. I’m not getting my hopes up since I’m pretty sure I won’t be in the first batch

He said they were mailed this week. I don’t know what that exactly means.

CrownOftheSea- Thanks! Can’t wait to hear what your counselor says. They’ve been pretty out of sync lately, I hope that your counselor confirms they were mailed today.

this is so exciting! finally light at the end of the tunnel!!! Good luck to all :D

I’m so nervous guys! What are y’all doing to keep your mind off of the wait?

^Nothing. I can’t keep Vandy out of my mind.

Ugh I emailed my counselor and it turns out she’s out of office until Monday. Was anyone able to confirm whether decisions were mailed? Not that I don’t believe classof2013 but I figured it would be easier to believe if someone else received the same information.

Someone asked this very question on the Vandy Admissions blog yesterday (4/7) and were told that the first wave would come out at the end of April…

That’s odd. Over the past few years, they have released their first batch in the 1st or 2nd week of April. Why all the sudden would they begin sending the first batch at the end of April? I don’t see the rationale behind such a decision.

I think the counselors just say late April in case something happens. Also, even if one or two batches are mailed out, there are still a lot of people who will still not have found out yet about their decision. Hopefully other people can verify that some letters have been mailed

omg i hope the letters have been sent out! that would be amazing!

im officially freaking out. what if we get letters monday? are you sure they went out today???

If they were sent out today or yesterday, I’d imagine it would take at least 3 days or so for them to arrive unless you live close to campus. So maybe some of us will hear back by mid next week if we’re in the first batch.

I wonder if the letters come in a normal envelope or if they come as part of a more detailed package? I’m going to be a train wreck when I get that piece of mail from Vandy. It’s probably going to take a an hour to calm down and open it lol.

^I spoke with a successful transfer from last year’s transfers and he said he got his acceptance in a traditional envelope. They save the 8x11s for their incoming freshmen (apparently).

I go to school in South Carolina and the letter is being mailed to my parents in Louisville, KY - Great… Not! They are the ones who will have to open it and give me the good/bad news. Oh well.
According to last year’s thread, every letter (Accept, Deny, Waitlist) came in a standard envelope, so we won’t know for sure until it’s opened! I really hope some letters are already mailed. I’m too nervous and can’t focus on school here, ha!

i think ill literally have a heart attack if i get in.

Thanks for the info!

It’s hard to believe that only one week could stand between me and potentially getting into Vandy. Hopefully all this time and effort pays off. My confidence seems to rise and fall by the hour.

According to theclassof2013’s counselor, some letters “were mailed this week.” Does that mean we might get them tomorrow? The minute anyone gets a letter, post on here immediately!

Sarah, say you have a heart attack and need to take some time away from school, and I get waitlisted, can I take your spot lol?
