^Same. This wait is killing me.

Anyone want to email or call their counselor tomorrow and ask again? Haha. Seems like at this point though, we could get answers anywhere from the letters being mailed next week to late May. I hope they really do mail next week… And I hope they let us know that they are being mailed!

Late May would be a disappointment. I’ve been waiting since mid-January!

I know I feel ya’ll (getting ready for the south) jkjk. I’m like positive we will hear back by the 15th or two-three days after. I feel like colleges just say that to cover themselves incase something goes wrong or stuff isn’t proceed. Isn’t the deposit due May 1st? I still have to visit vandy!

^A lot of people received decisions the week of the 15th last year, but a handful didn’t receive a decision until late-april/mid-may. It also seemed that many applicants received SGRs which would be a nightmare for me because I’m on the quarter system.

I hope you’re right about finding out right around the 15th. Obviously anxiety plays a big role in wanting to find out ASAP, but it’ll also save me quite a bit of money and time so that I wouldn’t have to back out of a housing lease or find a replacement to take on my lease.

And a Spring grade report would not help my cause because my final grades are probably going to be higher due to curves and other things. I feel like my raw score in organic chem isn’t really useful because a C+ doesn’t look impressive, but relative to the class average it’s good and would end up higher once the scores were normalized. Sorry for rambling on, but this process has given my mind a lot to think about haha.

^You’re not alone, trust me. I’m freaking out because my GPA fell from a 3.88 to a 3.81 after my winter quarter. Anything that negatively affects my chances causes me to lose sleep at night, which is why I want to find out very soon!!!

But you’ve taken honors courses, right? I wouldn’t worry too much about the GPA drop because you’re still probably in the top tier of applicants GPA-wise, and taking tougher classes tells more about you as a student than taking easy, GPA boosting classes.

^I’ve taken several honors courses and I hope you’re right. I just hope it works out for all of us :)

I have good news! The first batch has been sent out!

What?! Classof2013, how do you know? Or are you kidding? haha

^Really? How did you find out?

what what whatttttt!?!

My counselor told me.

Awesome! I hope I’m in the first batch :)

I hope this is true!!!

Did you call/email him or her and ask? I hope I’m in the first batch too!

Email. Good luck to everyone too!

Is there any way for an admissions counselor to know whether one was in the first batch or not? I’m tempted to ask but I don’t want to irk my admissions counselor.

theclassof2013-did your counselor say they were mailed yesterday or this morning.
