The only time I’ve called admissions is the brown admissions office.

I talked to her once briefly a long time ago. Where are you transferring from?

Ucla. You?

small liberal arts college in nyc but in la my house is right by UCLA actually haha

Do you have AIM screenname?

Does the major you are applying for have any affect on your application? I.e.
If i applied to a popular major does that make it harder for me to get in?

No I dont have AIM and the major you apply to does matter because that department has to accept you as well but I think more popular majors are larger so probably have more open spots for transfers. Just a guess.

Thanks, I applied for philosophy and I couldn’t find another Vanderbilt philosophy applicant lol

Yeah Im applying to Biology and I am sure that it is a very popular major as well.

Where else did you apply?

Im waiting to hear from Barnard, USC, Vandy, William & Mary, and Wake Forest. And so far Ive gotten in to UNC Chapel Hill. What about you?

Duke, brown, USC, northwestern

Very cool. What is your top choice?

Duke blue devils lol. I visited and that sealed it

Nothing in South Carolina today.

my letter was sent yesterday…is that good or bad?

Well Duke is an amazing school. My first choice is Vandy.

Good luck Sarah and to all who applied. If you don’t get in don’t take it personal you’ll still make a college campus special

nothing for me in upstate new york. I might call the office. I thought this process was going to be a lot easier than it’s been

NYU, I wouldn’t worry if people in Tennessee and other parts of the Southeast haven’t gotten anything yet.
