Vanderbilt University Fall 2021 Transfer Thread

I might just be freaking out, but does receiving a decision in the second wave mean you’re rejected?

No it doesn’t mean that. You are just freaking out.

Does anyone know if transferring from Brown would help with acceptance? I know they are opposites, so I’m not sure if it’ll help or hurt.

no, i spoke with my AO and he said it does not affect your chances if you submitted by the priority deadline

none of us could tell you tbh… only the Vandy officers know what they are looking for

Just my opinion but I think it would help if you’ve done well there. Shows you can do the work.

Does this link work for you guys?

No, it says access denied… I didn’t get any results yet btw, I think I’m in the second wave as well.

Mine shows “Online Information Session for Admitted Transfer Students”, below that is “access denied”. Does anyone’s portal show the same thing?

Mine says access denied as well. But I haven’t heard back about any decisions yet.

Guys I had one question. I noticed that in the first wave, many poli sci majors were either rejected or waitlisted. What does that indicate for the second wave poli sci majors. Like why would they waitlist or reject in the first round if they haven’t gone through all of them?

It says Online Information Session for Admitted Transfer Students

Access Denied

My WD got access Denied, and she got rejected. I heard that admitted students were able to access the meeting.

None of us have received our decisions yet; we are not in the first wave

No, I mean that if the applicant was able to access the meeting, that means that they would be accepted. If not, it’s a indicator that the applicant would probably be denied.

Not sure if that’s true. Otherwise they would’ve released all the decisions at the same time. Why bother sending them out in waves if all admitted students need to know that prior to this Monday?

And did your D receive her decision in the first wave?
