Varsity Sports matters!

Here is the question. I am doing common app and they ask me to list 7 activities, the most important ones… it’s hard to choose just 7 out ouf like 15 activitie i had. what should li put?

varsity basketball

jv soccer

jv track

Junior State of America, debate

marathon

honor

volunteer work

martial arts

math club

and many others… also should i list jv sports and varsity sports or non varsity sports?

math club is worthless; leave it out.
and what is "honor?" it sounds worthless as well...

If my grandpa was born in africa, that makes me 1/4 african american. College admissions say im allowed up to 1/8. However, I am white. Am i still allowed to apply as an african american because im technically considered african american.

Math club might not be worthless depending on what it did. For example yearly national competitions and how you placed within that, On the other hand if you just sat around and talked math, hookem168 is correct. Seems to me varsity bball dominates 2 and 3. So if 4 and 7 are significant you might move those up, then 5 if it is a noteworth result.

keep in mind you can upload a resume in the writing section.

Trust me, math clubs can help a lot if you organized a mathematics competition, made aime/ usamo, or did extremely well in other national competitions....

HopefulCEO, if your grandfather was born in Africa but is not "ethnically African", it doesn't "count" [just to clarify].

Otherwise, you're encouraged to put down the race you identify yourself as, not the race you think will help you the most.
