Seriously, help.

I personally picked Gallatin. The most important thing to me is the freedom/flexibility of the program. What are your career objectives?

in my opinion, ALWAYS NYU!!!! haha...good luck!

vassar! jsut my personal opinon--i loved it when i looked at it, and if it were any other school at NYU i woudlnt be saying this. i think youll get a better education (depending on your major) at vassar.

whats your major?

my major is basically "why people want what they want" taking a variety of marketing, psychology and communications type courses so I can eventually go into either advertising or selling or something like that.

Thats what my dad does for a living, and he knows his stuff. Over drinks after u-day, he remarked that he was impressed/envious at the structure of Gallatin, and he wished he could re-do undergrad!

I'm not familiar with Vassar, so you might want to listen to matt. I'm not sure what he means about NYU schools; obviously your education will not come and find you at NYU. Vassar is probably more undergrad-focused. I dont see how he can poo-poo Gallatin in the face of the other schools, since the whole point of Gallatin is that you get access to all the schools : D HTH

a tidbit of info, Vassar is all undergrad. The people who go there love to learn and enjoy every second of it. there are not frats or sororities on campus, just to give you an idea. the campus is BEAUTIFUL--a national arboretum, and structures still appear as they would 100 or so years ago--the food is good, the students are insightful and free-sprited, and the profs. are engaging. when i was there as a prospy, they treated me like gold and i had access to anything i wanted. i sat down to talk to their lax coach, their history of theatre prof. and even attended an audition for a musical. they were awesome.

if you got into Vassar, i'm still hard pressed to suggest Gallatin to you. When i was at vassar there was nothing i did not like--honestly, you have to LOOK for the things that are wrong with it. If youre the type of person who is bothered when things arent as picturesque or perfect as they seemed, then NYU is going to give you hell. At NYU you take the good with the bad, knowingly. At Vassar alot of catering is done toward the student as an individual (not in terms of academics, etc. its still college). Make no mistake, their academics are as close to Ivy league standards as you can get outside of the Ivy League itself (Seven Sisters), and the Vassar name is a comprable one to NYU. I loved Vassar, and love NYU more--but im not a Gallatin guy
