<p>What is the noise level like at vdc or norte on a weekday/night? Is it like middle/Mesa?</p>

<p>I gotta tell you, sometimes its just too much to handle. Late night, especially around midnight, lots of noise outside. People on phones (because theres no signal in the apartments), people partying, speakers blasting, and simply people doing lots of crazy stuff. One time there were two girls playing volleyball right by my window at 3 am. I never cursed so loud in my life but it worked and they ran away.</p>
<p>Its the price we pay to live with the rich kids who dont seem to care about school. And I mean rich… Lot of BMWs and Mercedes etc in the parking lot. Its disgusting IMO.</p>
<p>If you ever really need to, just call duty on them if it’s “quiet hours.” People don’t really listen to it, but if you called in a noise complaint they’ll probably do something. Quiet hours I think are supposed to be 10:00pm - 7:00am on weekdays and 12:00am - 10:00am on weekends (starting Friday)</p>
<p>imo i haven’t had too many noise problems. the occasional noise from a party nearby, but idk it wasn’t too often. however some of the noise from the people above can get annoying, if you live on the first or second floor… the walls are pretty thin. you can hear footsteps & when they open closets/drawers.</p>
<p>It’s not that bad so far. Just people walking down the hallway or next door. I rarely hear anyone yelling or partying. The main noise I hear is mostly the fire alarm.</p>

<p>Sometimes weekly, sometimes daily… But at least twice during Finals week. And once in a blue moon they really are fires lol…</p>

<p>What time in the morning? Do they ever wake you up in the middle of the night and prevent you from getting a good night’s sleep?</p>
<p>at night, so far never, but they like to go off around 7 am or so. losers who just wanna **** people off will do things like this.</p>
<p>Fire alarms were not that common for me, I think our hall had about alarms go off only maybe 6-8 times throughout the whole year…</p>

<p>Of course they interfere with sleeping well, when the alarms go off you are supposed to evacuate the building, and if you get caught trying to continue your sleep (but who would sleep with the alarm on anyway) you will be fined. I don’t live at vdcn myself but I have a lot of angry friends who lived at norte, lol.</p>
