verizon cell phone service at university of vermont?

okay, so i'm really interested in the university of vermont.

however, i've been to vermont a few times for vacations but NOT to burlington where the university is located. i remember having absolutely no cell phone service and going absolutely crazy the entire time i was there. (i was in jeffersonville, vt.)

but anyways, i've heard that usually only sprint works in vermont, but is that true for a city like burlington? i don't wanna sound superficial or like i'm obsessed with my phone or something, because i'm not. however, obviously having no cell phone service EVER would be a pain in the ass.

so has anyone with VERIZON had a problem getting service in or around burlington, vt?

I used to go in and out Burlington all of the time and had reception with Verizon, of course this varies based on where you are – I mean, if you’re in a steel encapsulated tunnel four hundred feet underground in Burlington…then maybe not.

Just stay away from AT&T. I’m in the middle of NYC and can barely get reception with them.

thanks i appreciate it

Verizon will serve you fine up there, anything else beware. I haven’t had a problem so far.

Verizon worked everytime I went. :*( AT&T sucked up there though on my first initial visit. No iPhones.

i was just in Burlington and the entire time i had at least 2 bars. other places i have been in vermont i had no service but burlington the service was great probably since it is a bigger city

Verizon is good throughout Vermont, and AT&T has expanded its service quite a bit throughout the state over the past few years.

Go with verizon even if aren’t satisified with their coverage, you will love their customer service.

^^ Haha, that just reminded me of when my mother was having problems with her phone and she was expecting a call from Verizon. I didn’t know they were going to be calling her, so the next person who called (I thought it was going to be my stepfather), I picked up the phone and started blathering in Mandarin and insisting I didn’t speak English.

It was Verizon, and they were so nice about it.
