Vermont kid applying to Dartmouth

Hey, my friend is applying RD to Dartmouth, and him/me were just wondering about his chances.

White male/Vermont
3.9 GPA UW

1460 SAT, 760 Verbal, 700 math
Math IIC: 710, 640 Writing, 620 Biology

30 ACT

Rank: 10/246

AP: Bio, Calculus

ECs:
NHS
Student Council VP
Varsity soccer, captain
Varsity track, captain
Good volunteer hours
Biology lab assistant to 10th grade class

How his chances looking?

bump, anyone??

Sorry to post off-topic, but tell him to register his own account.

SAT IIs aren't too hot but the sports thing will make the admissions people give him another look. A buddy of mine got into Duke with a 3.6... probably because of being captain and having good ECs in general. Everything else seems up to par.
The thing with crappy SAT IIs is that they undermine his good GPA, making the adcoms question the rigor of his high school or his courses.

I agree, tell your "friend" to ask for himself

sorry, i told him to get one but he said no. He's not one with computers i guess.

nobody knows what they want, it's worth giving a shot.
