So here's the situation:

About a month ago, I submitted info into the myadmissions site that detailed my grades from the spring quarter at my CC. I had gotten a D grade in one of my classes. Luckily, an admissions advisor replied saying that an exception will be made, and that I will still be admitted despite the D. I emailed back asking if I need to repeat that class that I had gotten a D in during the summer, and was told that I didn't need to.

Now, a month later, I receive an email from a different admissions advisor, out of the blue, saying that I need to repeat the class that I had gotten a D in during the summer, and to submit this change on myadmissions within 5 days. It was one of those "immediate response requested" emails, and it said that it was sent to me in response to info I submitted on myadmissions... But I hadn't submitted any new info. So I am really confused, and a little panicked, because it is now too late to enroll in summer classes at my CC, and plus I had already made vacations plans too since I was not expecting to have to take any courses during the summer (after all, an admissions advisor had specifically told me that I don't need to repeat the class). Furthermore, I had even called the department of my major (the class I had gotten a D in was a major pre-req), who told me that the D grade was still transferable for credit and will satisfy the pre-req, thus repeating it would have no additional value...

So was the email from the second advisor an error? I don't understand why there is a discrepancy between the two advisors, or why a different advisor emailed me in the first place. In any case, I sent the advisor an email and left a voicemail last week, but no reply yet :(.
I'm worried because it says I need to submit the info (that I enrolled in the repeated course for the summer) into myadmissions within 5 days, but I really want an advisor to tell me what is going on first (plus it would be impossible for me to enroll in the closed summer classes now). I've tried calling UCD admissions, but I keep getting transferred to the admissions advisor whose working on my file (the second advisor), who unfortunately doesn't pick up. So yep... I'm hoping that by posting it here, someone can give me some advice on what to do, or what is going on? Anyway, I'll give UCD admissions a few more calls tomorrow, hopefully I'll get through to the advisor! Thanks for any info.

On a side note, regarding discrepancies on the myadmissions, I've noticed it before too. A few weeks ago I submitted a minor comment on the "submit coursework" page (the admissions office at UCD had told me I need to tell them that my CC doesn't offer P/NP, but instead uses a CR/NCR system). All of a sudden, I get an email stating that I need to explain the D grade that I had gotten. Funny thing is, I had already explained it, and receieved the OK about it, from the SAME admissions advisor who had just emailed asking for an explanation. I guess anytime you submit anything on myadmissions "courses and grades", even just a comment, EVERYTHING is re-reviewed again, and D grades are re-flagged, despite it being flagged before and resolved? Anyhow, I emailed back with copies of the previous email, and I didn't hear anything more, so I assume that things worked out ok. However, I also submitted that info (that the email might have been in error since I had explained the D grade already, blah blah...) on the "immediate response form" link that was provided to me. So maybe that is what the second advisor is responding to, albeit two weeks later. But still it doesn't really make much sense, since I had explained everything on there already...

In any case, I just want to get all this resolved so I can enjoy my summer :)
