Very Important SAT I writing question

here is my dillema:

These were my SAT I scores ( ..I know, not so hot!)
math:630
reading:650
writing:720

While I must increase my overall score to assure myself a spot at UCLA, I KNOW that on a second testing my writing score will definitley DECREASE. ( I was getting 600's on the practice tests.... I simply got REALLY lucky on the actually SAT)

But..if the UC's only select the highest writing score from any testing I'll have no doubt about taking the test again. Does anyone know if the UC's select the highest writing score? This could make or break my chances!!!!!

I don't know about the UC policy, but if you are positive that math and verbal will increase, I'd say retake, because that's two that go up, even if one goes down.

Of course, you never know how the test will work--your writing could go up further, your math could deprove, your verbal could stay the same--it's hard to predict.
