Throughout my high school life, i've always played online games. it would always end up me not doing homework at all and then affected my test scores. i have always tried to play games during the weekend and try to put extra effort into my homework, but i have this little guy in my mind telling me to play for just an hour and THATS IT. unfortunately, i end up playing for 3-4 hours. are there gamers out there who have any advice? How to manage to keep A average grades and still play games?

Play educational games!

This is an interesting question. I too am an avid gamer and barely maintaining A's in my classes. I'd like to know too.

not play 3-4 hours. not play untl you have done ur work/studied

use the game as some type of reward for studying/doing homework... tell yourself that if you study for one hour then you are allowed to play for 2 hours or something

3~4 hours a day isn't that bad, really. But I'd say cut it to 1~2.

Do all your hw at school (like I do).

Christ, learn to do more important things.
Games just got kinda boring for me when I was maybe 14. I still play every now and again but maybe three or four times a month.

I played online games a ridiculous amount and I got into college. No worries.

Quit for a month
youll wonder why you ever liked them.

Persuade some friends who are really hardworking to play with you. Then, don't play unless they're playing. Maybe you can cut it down to an hour max per day.

I used to play A LOT of video games. 3-4 hours per day like you said. But then I slowly got bored and only played during the weekends. And I only play with my friends, or else it's just boring.

What game do you play? TF2 and L4D are good games with friends.

Learn to manage your time! Hahah I used to play a lot too but then you must learn to prioritize and realize that your future is more important than a couple hours of fun... there will be a lot of time later to play video games. (:

my calc teacher plays a lot of video games like he tells us all about them. haha and like today was the day before winter break and he brought guitar hero! we played during class! yay (:

so when you're all "growned" up then you can play video games too! (:

so it is possible to play a few hours of games during the weekend, with all homework finished and tests studied

yes, it is possible, but make sure you have control! (:

i used to play 2 hrs a day of Starcraft, and then WoW, but I stopped because I like women more than tier six. I am going to, since im in my first choice anyway, but my extensive gaming experience on my resume and see what happens with a few top schools.

tier 6 > vagina

I told myself to play Warcraft 3 only every other day. It helped kick the habit and I now play less often than that. My mom still thinks it's to much though.

I used to play WoW. Season 2 gladiator Shadow Priest/Warrior until I quit. Yes, it did affect my studies.

lol, my friend told me that he learned a few SAT vocabs from playing WOW

On the last SAT I took, uncouth was a word, and I learned it from there!
