Okay. So I'm on a mission. A mission to get to Virginia Tech as soon as possible. I am a Virginia resident.

I am presently at the University of Kentucky. My major is electrical engineering, and I am not going to change it.

I am taking:
Introduction to EE - Pass/Fail class... I'll pass it.
Computer Science - I'm taking a bypass exam which will appear on my transcript just as though I took the class. Almost certainly an A.
Political Science - I have an 88% now, I think that can be an A as well.
German - Shouldn't have taken this, won't be able to continue anyway. Probably a C.
Calculus I - As of yesterday it is mathematically impossible for me to get a B (I have a very high C though, and my exam grades are pretty good, and all that remains is the final).

Assuming the projected grades, that leaves me with a 2.85 or so (German Calc are 4 credit hours, CompSci/PoliSci are 3, EE does not count towards GPA).

So I'm assuming that with a C in Calc I, and only my first semester grades to go by it's extremely improbable I'll be admitted as a transfer for fall of '07. That ship has sailed, right?

So next semester I'm taking:

An english class (Tech states they wish to see this, as do most schools, even though I am expempt from it here)
Physics (calculus based)
Physics Lab
Chemistry
Calculus II

Assuming I become a completely model student (4.0 for this spring semester), is admission for Spring '07 realistic? Surely doing well in Calc II would obviate the Calc I blight on my record.

I have been unable to find any transfer admissions statistics (ideally, percentage of engineering applicants given offers) for VTech. If anyone is aware of them, I'd really appreciate a link.

Some quick notes: I'm fairly involved at the student radio station here, and will continue to be. Do extra-curricular activities matter much? During highschool and right before starting here I worked for a small but fairly well-known unmanned aerial vehicle engineering company. My immeadiate boss and the president of said company have offered letters of reccomendation.

I plan to keep applying every semester... I'll draw the line at Fall '08. Any advice on applying multiple times (if it comes to that)? Does it hurt me the second time around if I've been rejected before, or does it demonstrate my determination?
