@transfer136 I’ve decided to stay for other reasons, thanks for your advice though :)

Got the hokie bird!!! woooooooooooooooooo

Congrats! I feel like I got rejected since they have my decision already they should have put up a hokie bird by now but I still don’t had an update…

Have* an update! My stupid phone does autocorrects all the time

they might still be evaluating your transfer credits! stay positive! I thought for sure I had been rejected and even had a complete breakdown yesterday…only to find the hokie bird today!

Got the hokie bird, now the wait to hear from the last school and decide! Still very anxious on that last school which I really would love to go to and fit right in at.

So I know the hokie bird popping up has been a real big deal, but which hokie bird is the really important one to have? I have one for financial aid and one for my transcript evaluation. Do they evaluate every applicants transcript for the transfer equivalency at tech, or just the ones to be accepted/wait listed? I am confused by this entire process. Last year I applied for early decision as a transfer and did not receive either hokie birds. Tech is my top choice; I really hope I will be accepted!

Hey, so I finished my application well before the deadline. I’ve not received an admissions decision yet, and I have read a lot about people seeing transfer credits being evaluated, and financial aid too. I have not seen anything (hokie bird, financial aid, or any transfer credits being evaluated). Am I looking in the wrong place possibly? Any help would be greatly appreciated, I am anxiously awaiting my decision. Thanks guys!

@lchsrunner93 The hokie bird for financial aid should pop up on the page right after you click the application status link, and the hokie bird for credit evaluations should be on the page with your application summary. I hope this helps!

@transfer15 Thanks! My application summary looks literally no different. All my transcripts and FAFSA were in before the 15th of February, so I’m not sure what the hold up on my app is. Hopefully I’ll get some news soon.

@lchsrunner93 I am not quite sure either. I turned my application and materials in before the February 15 deadline too, but I didn’t submit my FAFSA until a week or two afterwards. I keep hoping I will get my decision soon–preferably before May 1.

Still waiting too :(

Hoping to see decisions today!

When I talked to the lady on the phone on Wednesday she said that decisions won’t be posted until it is closer to May 1st

I feel like itll be next week

For anyone wondering how long it takes them to evaluate non NOVA CC credits, they got my art school credits on 4/4 and finished evaluating them yesterday.

CONGRATULATIONS, hokiebai!!!

You have had such a long wait. I am sooooo happy for you!

thanks uncertain123! hang in there everyone-- I think they have a lot of apps to look over…I’m sure it will be closer to the end of April that we see more hokiebirds/decisions.

@JennyK13
How did you find out they started evaluating your other school’s transcript besides NOVA’s on a specific date? Cause they didn’t evaluate my ODU transcript yet.

On the grid that had my SCAD credits listed there was a box that said that they started evaluating them on 4/4.
