Virginia Tech Transfer 2013

So I just called the admissions office and asked them if I should register for classes next semester since I have registration tomorrow. She said that they had made my decision a few days ago and that it should be on my status page, but it isn’t. I asked her if she could tell me my decision and she said that she couldn’t over the phone. She said that I would know by the end of the month. She also said that I should go ahead and register for classes. :frowning: Do y’all think I got rejected?

@lils21 ihave the same stats as you and i havent heard either

@scoobielover that sounds odd, did u speak to one of the secretaries? Or an actual admissions person. Every time i call they say a decision hasn’t been made yet

I called the admissions office and I guess I spoke to a secretary because she had to ask someone else about how I am supposed to find out my decision if it isn’t posted on my status page. She said that it wasn’t on my status page yet because they had just made my decision.

@scoobielover I think it’s good to have a plan to stay at your current college for next year. I don’t think she’s supposed to hint either way if you got in or not, but regardless there’s always that chance.

By the way, I haven’t recieved my decision yet, but I’m going to stay at VCU next year whether I get in or not (which I’m assuming I haven’t.)

I just checked my application status page again and my credit evaluation is done, except for my current classes of course. Any ideas on when I will get my decision? I heard they are letting people know in threads.

@rottenapples I am still going to register for classes. But I really do not want to stay at ODU for another year, so I hope I get in!

Worst case scenario, you could always just stay one more semester and transfer during the spring. Or you could even go to community college for a semester or a year and then transfer somewhere else.

I reallllly hope i see the bird this week!

I called admissions yesterday to ask if they could tell me when the next wave of admissions would be. All I was told is that I would hear on or before May 1st and that there are still lots of applications being reviewed.

Haha may 1 is all theyre gonna tell anyone

oh god. i just got the hokie bird you guys. literally right after i decided to stay at vcu.

Did you just get it like within the past couple hours?? Congrats!

yeah i got it like at 8pm haha thank you!

What are ur stats?

Does anyone think some of the decisions will come out this week?

If not friday evening, then probably the 26th-the 1st

@rottenapples: you shouldn’t make such a strong decision to stay at VCU, if you still haven’t heard back yet. Especially now cause you have the Hokie bird. I know a lot of people still waiting to hear a decision and Hokie bird. Admission does that on purpose and they always give out a huge number of acceptance at the very last week. It’s supposed to be that big wave of acceptance a out of all the waves. So I know a lot of people who are going to get it and should feel discourage yet cause they haven’t heard back from VT. The wait isn’t much longer so everybody just hang on until then.

I know you all are anxiously awaiting admission’s decisions. Just an fyi: 2012’s decisions were sent out on 4-30 (the last day of April obviously, but also a Monday).
