The website states, "Campus Tours and Information Sessions
During the academic year, student-guided campus tours are offered on most weekdays and on Saturdays. Information sessions, hosted by admissions counselors, are offered on Mondays, Fridays, and Saturdays. During the summer, campus tours and information sessions are hosted on most weekdays."

I am viewing the calendar to register, but I do not see anything for Mondays or Fridays. I only see the ability to register for Saturdays beginning in February. Do you know of when the Monday/Friday option will be available? Is there another process for weekday info sessions?

How can I find out about class sizes? Also, is there a way to view online what current course offerings are and how many students are enrolled in those courses?

Thanks

We’re still confirming the weekday times; should be up in by the end of the week. Sorry about the confusion!

Chris

Thanks for the info.
What about the class sizes? And, is there a way to view online what the current course offerings are and the max number of student permitted in each class?

Just bumping up my last question about class size, and does Stony Brook allow prospective students to sit in on classes during their visit?

If you look up the course listing for Spring 2014 on the Registrar’s site that should answer your question. Class sizes vary by the type of class you are taking. Intro courses and intro premed courses will be larger, but once you get into your major they will get much smaller.

Thanks, TheBombingRange - I was able to locate courses and student class size.

Anyone know if prospective students can sit in on a class?

Not sure if that is offered, but then again, what is stopping you from walking in to a building and sitting in?
