<p>I'm pretty sure unless admissions changed that Vandy doesn't do interviews. You're allowed to talk to your admissions counselor but no formal interviews are done.</p>

<p>those interviews are purely informal. there is no formal write-up sent to the admissions officers from those interviews. from my understanding, these interviews are more for the prospective student to learn more about the school from a person who has alraedy attended.</p>

<p>Vanderbilt does offer alumni interviews with former students in your area. Please note that they are NOT required, but they ARE evaluative. This means that after each alumni interview, the interviewer sends us an electronic review that is added to your admissions application.</p>
<p>It is a great way for you to learn more about Vanderbilt, and another way for us to learn more about you as an applicant.</p>
<p>We enjoy meeting prospective students when you visit campus, but Admissions Counselors at Vanderbilt do not conduct formal interviews.</p>
