There is a rumor going around by that making an official visit to USC the chance of being admitted can increase. Does the University take your name, or is this rumor based off the assumtion of an interview?

well, i dont know if it does anything as far as admissions, but they do have you fill out a form that asks your name, major you interested in, and (i could be thinking of something else) i think i remember it asks for your gpa and sat range.

I remember the same form right before the tour was given. I do remember GPA and SAT range, among other things. As for a visit increasing chances of being admitted, I'm not too sure. You'll have to ask someone else about that.

I do believe that if you visit usc, you will separate yourself from the applicant pool. If you're borderline and you show that you went, you can easily be admitted over the other person. More ammo for admissions to use as standards I guess.
