VTech Architecture

Do you have any comments on the architecture program? I really need to be pleased to choose VTech:)

Does “#1 Undergrad Architecture School in the US” mean a whole lot to you? 'Cause there’s that.

Hahah:) Apart from that?

Have you been admitted?

Not yet. But likely.

I didn’t go through it but I had a couple friends in CAUS. It’s hard. Really, really, really hard. It’s the one major that engineers are afraid of. You will spend a lot of time and a lot of energy doing a lot of projects and, honestly, if you’re not very sure that it is your passion you should go a different direction. If it is what you love, though, there isn’t anywhere better to be. Literally.

Are you Honors eligible?

I’m not because of my ACT, so I will find out in March :/.
I toured Clemson this weekend, and they are building a whole new extension onto Lee Hall, which will be completed in December this year. Like VT CAUS, but they are going to have to make a good offer for me to come there.

Thanks a lot:)

Here’s the admission stats for architecture over the past few years. It’s a good indication of what VT is looking for in future architects. (By the way, the incoming class for 2010 was 50% in-state and 50% out-of-state.)
