VTech, Miami (OH), or IU for Finance? Help please

Hello all, I'm a senior this year and I have gotten into Virginia Tech, Miami University (OH) and Indiana University Bloomington. My favorite place so far is VTech, but Miami is the cheapest (I'm from Ohio) and I've read how great Indiana's business school is (Kelley). I would like to major in Finance. Is VTech's business school good enough to skip up Kelley because I enjoy the college "feel" at VT more? Any thoughts on these schools? I'm a laid back type of guy, if you need any info let me know.

Thanks so much in advance,

I think Kelley is ranked the highest, not sure though. I'm not much of a business man myself.

IU is a lot better than Tech.

Go with your feeling, though. You gotta like the school you go to.

I realize that IU is better than Tech, but how much better? I mean, would I get a much better job after or would it be a lot easier to get into an MBA school? I saw that IU was ranked around 11 and Tech was around 43, and Miami was around 58, but I'm not quite sure what those numbers mean, I would assume that if they are ranked they are all "good enough."

Thanks a lot,

Bump..................

IMHO, I'd go to the best fit. You'll do better because you like the school best. You are aware, however, that you'll need to go to grad school, or you'll start out like many graduates of undergrad business programs (with non-business majors) near the bottom--no matter where you go?!

Why not enjoy and major in what you like at a school that fits, which generally means a better gpa and more involvement, then go to an amazing grad school MBA program? I have had a few friends do this (they were not too image or status conscious, so going to the school they liked best was not a problem. Now they are all in "prestigeous grad schools, business, law school, and otherwise.

Again, just my two cents. Good luck.

Thanks Isleboy. I was planning on getting my MBA after about 2 years of working off some student loans. Tech it is then.
