I went on Banner>>Student>>Registration>>Check your registration status and it says under "Earned Credit", 16 Credits.

And also under "Student">>Academic Transcript, under "Earned Hours" it says 16 hours. Does this mean I got good grades on my 2010 Ap exam results or is that just there as a "maybe thing"?

Probably. For more specific information, go to Banner > Student > Student Records > Academic Transcript > Submit. It will show you what courses you received credit for.

If you have something listed with 0 credit hours, it’s an exemption and does not fulfill GERs but lets you take other courses with it as a prerequisite. If it is listed with the courses normal credit hours, it fulfills the GER.

Yeah, like, if it says “Writing 101” with 0 credits, that means you got the acceptable score on the AP Lang exam.

It’s an exemption, so you can take a seminar that’s just 150 and not 150W. =)

If you got Topics in Literature (I think) with 3 credits, you got a 4/5 on the AP Lit exam.

And so on.

Quick question, though, where do I see my DE credits? I sent a transcript for them a long time ago, but I don’t see them listed. I know the classes are accepted for credit though. I checked.

Depending on what courses you got credit for, you may or may not have received credit for a GER. Generally most AP credits help to fulfill GERs. There should be a part of myWM that helps you run a degree audit which lets you know what degree requirements you’ve completed and which you haven’t.

Your transfer credits from DE should be posted in the same place as your AP results. You may want to contact the Registrar’s Office (757-221-2800) to be sure they’ve received your college transcript(s).

Glad you got the answer. W&M has only one transfer credit counselor and she’s also processing all of our enrolling transfer students’ credits so I’m sure she’s working as fast as she can.

I checked this and they W&M has credit for me for an AP exam I took sophomore year and one I took senior year but the AP exams I received 5’s on Junior year are not listed…is this just not available yet or were they not received?

Call the registrar as W&M Admissions suggests above. They helped my daughter figure out why some of her AP credits were posted and some were not. (Getting everything ultimately required a call to the College Board as well, but start with the registrar.)
