I’m terrified of this letter now. I was accepted to some great schools, including two top LACs, rejected from another top LAC, and waitlisted at two other places. W&M is a complete wild card in this process! I just hope to see a big package in the next few days… please, W&M, I love you guys.

Brother was waitlisted. (We’re in Northern Virginia) His GPA was 3.9 but had a low SAT. He was accepted at UVa so he will be going there. Good luck to everyone else!

I see there are several people on here anxiously waiting in NC! My D is also waiting here in NC on that big white envie (at least we’re hoping) She’s already been accepted at Clemson and NC State. Good luck to everyone!

haha wow–a lot of people waiting for NC. That makes me nervous! Good luck to you guys though.

@mamagx3 You’re daughter already has some great options. I have several friends going to both of those schools.

If this school isn’t the charm, I will most likely enroll at Chapel Hill or Elon Honors College, and just choose to be a part of the waitlist–that is, if I am not rejected haha

No matter though. I’m already in at UVa as an Echols scholar. (Go figure!)
The college admissions process seems to have no logic behind it! Heh…

(for anyone who cares, my stats are: 3.9 UW / 4.2 W GPA & 1400/2200 SAT. Oh & I’m IS and uber white. )

Still no mail for S2 (NOVA - Fairfax). But he already decided on UVA, so he will join CompletelyDepped (similar gpa, slightly less on sat, 9 APs). We think he should look at both schools again if accepted to W&M before making final decision.

I would agree with looking at both schools, davh01. Daughter was accepted to both in '07. She knew she’d attend UVA, but decided to spend her spring break visiting all the schools in which she was accepted. UVA’s admitted students day was disorganized and almost unpleasant. Not much interaction from the students. She was extremely disappointed. The next day, driving onto campus by WM Hall…the road was lined with students waving posters and greeting the admitted students. So welcoming. Touring campus was great. Such a positive experience and she’ll enter her SR year in the Fall. No regrets.
