"W" revokes admission to UC?

Completed Speech Communication is required for all applicants to CSU. Now, I want to attend UC, this course "is not neccessary" for UC. Do I drop Speech communication class now with "W"? UCs will revoke their admission for that action?

no .

So W isn't hurt anything after getting acceptance? They only care about as if you are over 60 transferable credits?

Yeah, if you have enough transferable units and have satisfied your major stuff/IGETC requirements, it shouldn't be a problem.

I don't understand why you all don't contact UC directly? I wouldn't trust something this important to anyone but admissions directly. Call them, they will answer your question.

-A

I signed SIR to cal poly. Just a question for my friend. Thanks

hey, buddies, this morning, I called Berkeley's admission office, and I just asked them if I was allowed to drop any classes I'm taking in progess. You know what, the lady who talked with me sounds really really tough and asked for the reason again and again. Then finally, she made me send an email to her, and said "We will put it on consideration."

But still, I have not got any answers yet!

Also, I sent UCSB the same email for asking this, and these guys are pretty nice and said it should be fine for me to drop it.

Yeah, one of my friend sent to UCI for the same situation but no answer yet

I had three Ws and I got accepted to Davis and UCSB.

You should send an email to each school, not just to be absolutely sure but also so that you have something to point to if they decide to change their mind.

dude...you are AWESOME!!! ;p

Of course, those were in the first and second semesters and the UCs knew about it when I applied. If you're dropping it this semester and planning to attend the UCs next semester, you might want to let them know that you're dropping. But the act of dropping a class would not affect your chances at all unless it was a required class or a class needed to accumulate a minimum amount of units.

Yeah, I missed the deadline for drops and got a "W" for a Work Experience class....which I highly doubt will jeopardize my chances at CAl or UCLA....
