<p>Wondering if anyone else has been taken off the wait list...much to our surprise, my D was notified via email today that she was admitted to the LAS college. she is already committed elsewhere and happy with her choice. I just wasn't expecting much wait list action from UIUC.</p>
<p>My brother was admitted off the wait list to LAS three weeks ago. Another two of his waitlisted friends were contacted around the same time, though not sure what programs they were applying to. Probably LAS too. </p>
<p>I know his friends turned down their acceptance in favor of another school (Indiana), but my brother decided to take the acceptance. He had kind of put uiuc out of his head but the in-state tuition was too tempting to turn down. </p>
<p>It seems like they made more use out of their wait list this year compared to last year.</p>
<p>I called them and they said that almost everyone in LAS came off the waitlist.</p>
<p>well...that is great for all the kids who really wanted to go there. it is a great school! I grew up in champaign and my dad is a professor; he taught there for 32 years!</p>
