When do you guys think we will hear how this years yield and resulting action on the WL will turn out? I know last year the class was over subscribed but hopefully this year there are some spots.

where would we find the wl stats and stuff?

^Yale’s Common Data Set, on yale’s website/google.

Bluecoast: Admissions yield info should be out this week or next at all the Ivies. Any school that has a significant number of openings is likely to start admissions off the WL by next week. There’s an incentive to move fast because wait lists keep shrinking, making it harder to shape a freshman class.

that you, until then it’s anyone’s guess how the numbers turn out and if they are in the favor of us WLers

Well I don’t know if it’s just me but even though chances of getting of the WL are low I’m really hoping for some form of news in the coming weeks and maybe the yield even went down a tad…

well other WLers I’m hoping that we find out about yield and such in the coming days. good luck!

ahh, my friend from princeton preview got off the yale waitlist today!

O wow that’s exciting! Good for them. I wonder if they are making calls all this week or just today, I hope there are still some of us left

Does anyone know when they tell us it’s over? I remember when my sister was waitlisted at Barnard, they never really told her, or waited until very, very late, though it did become quite obvious.

End of June is when we will know for sure (i.e. when most of us will officially receive our rejection letters). Don’t lose hope, though. Last year Stanford was still going to their waitlist in mid-June (their yield rates are probably a little different though).

I have a friend who was accepted off the waitlist on June 29th a few years ago - its not over until July comes.

Did any other WLers apply to Yale SCEA??

^I thought they had a policy of not WLing deferrees! You poor thing.

if the decisions come out that late, would final grades matter? Cuz mine are definitely slipping.

@Millancad - they generally do, but I guess I am the exception to that rule… I just say that they loved my app so much that they want to keep reading it :)

@dan92 I was deferred and then waitlisted. I’m also WL at Harvard, which is my first choice, and Princeton, which isn’t.

^I’m a HYP waitlistee as well!

<i’m a=“” hyp=“” waitlistee=“” as=“” well!=“”></i’m>

There ought to be a certificate or something we could show our grandchildren. We may not get much else from this honor.

Any internationals?
