This is my first post here. If I break some sort of ancient moral code, please don't throw me to the fiery pits of hell.

Okay, basically, I knew I wanted to go to UVa-Wise my whole year as as senior in high school, but thought I'd be interested in transferring to Virginia Tech my sophomore year. Just to know where I stood, I applied to VT, but since it didn't really matter and I didn't really care, all I did was the application. I didn't get a single letter of recommendation or write a single essay. I got wait listed.

Now, saying what my GPA is is really difficult, because my school system uses a different scale. For us, you have to get a 95 for an A, a, 86 for a B, etc. If I just use the standard scale where a 90 is an A, etc (which should apply anyway because all classes are college level or AP,) I have a 3.85 weighted and a 3.42 unweighted. That's for my senior year, at least, which is all that should matter.

SAT Combined: 1800

My school only offers a few AP classes, and I've taken one of them. Only two other people in my grade has taken an AP class. I received a weighted A. I've taken a ton of dual enrollment classes and gotten mostly As, some above 100.

My question is, if I apply as a transfer and actually do all the paperwork, what are my chances at Virginia Tech as a political science or business major?

What about UNC, UVA, or Duke?
