Waiting on Financial Aid Award

<p>I asked this on UCI's page but I only got one response so maybe this will be more insightful?</p>

<p>c/p: So I guess I was stupid while applying to UC's because I put down a wrong SSN. I contacted UCI and mailed them a copy of my correct SSN. Recently (twice) I called them and asked if everything is ok, and they said all of my information is correct now. I submitted my FAFSA on time but the problem was matching it up.</p>

<p>They told me that I should definitely hear back about my award soon, but I'm still concerned. Am I just being paranoid? Should I call them again? If so, when? </p>

<p>ALSO: if my SSN was correct on my FAFSA and wrong on the school's information directory or whatever, I DON'T need to submit another FAFSA right?</p>

<p>Call the Fafsa people - they’re very helpful. Call the schools fin aid office and tell them you really need the info so you can make a decision. It helps to say that you really want to go to this school but ultimately you have to rely on what they offer you.</p>
