Just got that call! Cleared the waitlist and accepted the offer… so thrilled
@plumplum @235423 Huge congratulations! Did you receive any email before the call? I mean will they inform you to call at a certain time?
@BH2008hj Nope, I was literally called at 10:30 AM out of the blue. My phone was silenced, I just happened to have it on the table and saw that I was receiving a call.
congratulations BH2008hj ! Two great schools but very different - size, setting, culture. I guess that’s a good problem to have!
@235423 @plumplum HUGE congrats guys! I know you’ll ultimately make decisions right for your paths like others have. And you’ll be superb at Amherst if you choose to go!
@235423 and @plumplum did you guys send anything in after getting wait listed? Any letters or extra documents? 
@EnDeee Sorry for the delay. Yes, I sent in an update letter and emailed it to the dean and directly to admissions. I also had a recommended directly email an extra letter to the office.
Update: I got off the waitlist. I sent them a letter via email only… cuz that’s how I do (or I was just busy). No updated recommendations or anything. Not sure how the final decision will turn out because I’m currently sitting on a good scholarship- even if it is at my safety. Good luck to everyone still waiting!!!
just curious for a friend…has Amherst closed the waitlist?
just called a dean of admissions; the class of 2019 has pretty much been finalized, and that notifications go out to all remaining waitlisters by the end of this month at the latest
