Waitlist Decisions?

Thanks everyone. This definitely made my month.

In terms of how I was contacted, I received an email from an admissions officer who I was in regular contact with thru email.

As for Cornell vs. Duke, I'll have to weigh my options. Cornell was really starting to grow on me, and it'll be a tough choice. A lot of people on these forums were really trying to woo me to Cornell, especially CayugaRed2005. And that research scholarship Cornell offered me was quite appealing. I'll get back to ya.

Dude I love Cornell too but seriously, go to Duke.

Waitlist decisions suck! I was 150% stoked for Duke and now Princeton's offer just kind of ****es me off. Like I'm still committed to Duke, but I can't say no to a good financial aid package, and it's just annoying how my definite plans have become slightly indefinite.
I already joined the Duke network on facebook for crissakes!

i got off the duke waitlist today and the columbia waitlist yesterday, so now my decision becomes even tougher it is DUKE vs. COLUMBIA vs. CORNELL....

PM me padfoot if you want to talk about the princeton vs. duke decision; i made it four years ago, went with duke, and do not regret it at all. is p-ton offering you ridiculously better FA?

Well I'm thinking the ONLY thing that would sway me from Duke is if P-Ton gives me a Financial Aid package that saves me $40,000 or more. So they would need to give me about $10-12k per year to duke's $0 offer.

But I don't get the package until monday. Heart's still on Duke.
