Waitlist Help Plz!

I got waitlisted from Georgetown and it's my top choice. Anyone got any ideas for what I can do to improve my chances of getting accepted from the waitlist? Also information on waitlists in general would be appreciated such as how many students are put on and how many are accepted. Oh, and if gtown notifies waitlisted students of their final decisions by May 1, how would I find time to send my deposit to my other school, given that Georgetown does not admit me?

I would write a handwritten letter to the Dean of Admissions stating your continued interest and send him any updates to your application.

Try having a friend or someone you know VERY well write you a letter that would give the admissions office a chance to know you from their perspective. I wrote one for my friend and he was still on the waitlist, got extended waitlisted, but he's now here as a transfer. GL with the waitlist, its the most aggravating place to be.
