I don’t think I got any email …yet. but did respond right away also, and have already called. Apparently, they don’t rank WL, if they have an opening, they fill it with the closest match to that major/type of student, etc. to keep the balance. Whatever.

Qtflt,
I think you’re right that some of the Bucknell admits know they’re also admitted to some Ivies, they just might tell Bucknell they won’t attend. Maybe the rest of us will have a chance after all. Good luck to you and all of us still waiting!

D was admitted to an ivy (waitlisted at Bucknell) has removed her name from the waitlist. Funny thing, had she been admitted to Bucknell first she prob. would have attended - in her case it wasn’t a backup!

i was waitlisted and accepted at bc so i told them to take my name off the waitlist.
i really hope that people who really want to get in will be take off the waitlist.

Qtflt, I am in a similar same position as you. When looking at Bucknell’s stats, I actually feel over qualified and I am realllllyyyy hoping to get in. However, I just applied regular and was waitlisted. This year has been rough for people, college wise, so I wish the best to all.
btw, do they rank their waitlist?

I put my name on the waitlist, sent e-mail, my GC called and visited schools. What else do I need to do? Will Bucknell call before May 1? Looks like I will have to send $500 to my second school. What happened last year? I heard 14 were picked from the wait list.

the worst part is that while we sit here and wait this week, all the other students went to the visit day and are picking schedules, dorms, information, etc… What I want to know is, IF (big if…) we get off the WL, will there be any problems or shut-outs to registration for any dorm or classes? Any waitlisted students from previous years that can chime in and share on how getting a late start affected your first year?

Meanwhile, I have to put in my deposit to state school - and try to be excited about it!!!

Course registration, Dining options, housing information , e-mail, and myBucknell information isn’t mailed until mid-May. And things like housing assignments aren’t announced until mid-July.
