So I got ALL of the classes and professors I wanted except for one, my Visual-whatever-you-call-it credit class. So I got shoved into some random one that I have NO interest in taking. So I had a few classes I was looking at that I am interested in equally and wouldn't mind being in any of them. Can I waitlist for more than one class? I have 4 that I waitlisted in and I made them all swap out with the one class I was put in. Will this affect anything because I did more than 1 waitlist to swap with 1 class? I don't care which of the 4 I get put in (if any).

Also, can I waitlist for the same class more than once but just at different times? Because this one class has 4 waitlist spots at different times of the day.

You can be on a maximum of 4 waitlists, with no more than 2 being for the same class (different sections). It will not affect your chances to be on multiple lists. The computer will place you in the first one that opens up. Your other waitlists will become moot, since you will no longer be registered for the class that it will swap. Just keep an eye on your lists, that way if you get one, but really prefer another of your choices, you can go in and make new waitlists. I would be surprised if anything changed much until the official add/drop period in August. Then, things tend to change alot.

QueenofEverythin covered a lot of it already. I think you might be able to get off the waitlist during summer, but it depends on the sophomores-seniors who are switching around their schedules during summer. We registered for classes in the spring and get some time in the summer when the system opens up for freshman orientation, to switch around our schedules again. So if there’s a bunch of upperclassmen in any of those classes you waitlisted for and enough of those people drop, then you might get in. You’ll also get an email if you do get into a waitlisted class. Just make sure that the class you’re waitlisted for doesn’t conflict with the time of a class you’re registered for otherwise it’ll skip you and let the person behind you in. And if nothing changes over summer, add-drop period during the first two weeks of school is absolutely wonderful for getting the classes you want.
