thanks blueblue. cc has been extremely quiet for the Frosh WL applicants as of late. (That doesn’t mean that there hasn’t been any WL activity, just that no one on cc is reporting any.)

your welcome! im eager to know how long the waitlist will go until… i wonder if this is just the first round of people they are taking off the waitlist, and if there will be a second? ahhhh

ppl on the west coast might get it later than east coasters

k…just checked agora. i got the same type of think rbkhoops21 was gettin. i went to check application status and i get this error message: Student not found. Be sure you have typed the Id and Date of Birth correctly. If you continue to have a problem, contact Student Services. and then i press “ok” and it takes me to another page saying “invalid login”…and then it takes me to a page load error.

My daughter has a legal size envelope from BC in today’s mail (Saturday). It’s one piece of paper. Is this the final rejection? Does anyone know if they send just a letter to come of the WL? She’s on the cape for her senior trip, on a whale watch, and she can’t be reached!!!

Did anyone else receive anything like this today?

Thanks. Good luck to all.

Alas, it was the final rejection. The freshman class at BC is filled.

So, she’s off to Villanova.

Again, good luck to all of you.

yep. i just got the letter as well in the mail.

where do you guys live?

i live in new jersey.

Albany, NY area.

i didnt get anything. i live in So. Cal.

hmmm I wonder if they have filled the sophomore class yet or if they are still accepting transfers off the waitlist… anyone hear anything?

are they done with the freshman waitlist? i thought it was until end of June.

Our daughter also got a letter on Saturday saying they’re done with the waitlist. Time to move on. Sorry.

thats the same letter that ppl got back in May. When I called admissions, they told me that they will go up to July 1st. Alot of people still haven’t heard yet–like me.

hopefully they’re not done.

Well, rb, I would think you would have gotten it by now. So, maybe there is still hope for you!!! I wish you the best. My 23 year old daughter graduated from BC in 2008 and absolutely loved her years there. Her younger sister, unfortunately, did not make it in. However, she really was the stronger student.

I wish you the best!

Rb-

If you haven’t heard yet then I’m sure you’re right. Truth is our daughter got the letter the same day as another from her first choice, University of Virginia, telling her she was in off of their waitlist. So she didn’t really care about the BC one or read it all that closely.

rbk:

Keep your hopes up, but consider the dates and USPS mail times. Stephan and Kathy live a few hundred miles from Boston and both received letters on Saturday, the 13th. Thus, those letters were likely mailed on Friday, or Thursday late pm. Mail from the east to the west coast usually takes three business days, which means that letters could still arrive on Tuesday (or later, if in a rural west coast town).

Good luck.

rejected; off to nova:)

Summer: My daughter is off to Nova too! Hey, from what I hear, EVERYONE loves it there so…everything happens for a reason.
