i went through the forum again and i noticed that you said this was your dream school, it must be painful to hear but do you have a backup school/plan? do you think your stats is what didn’t get you in or other factors?
i wish you the best with everything. always know that you can transfer and that there are endless possibilities and opportunities for you. don’t let this bring you down <3
YES! Definitely apply for housing NOW. People are working from home in most cases, but the administrative part of UCF is still functioning. If you wait, you might not get in.
If you mean The Towers at Knight’s Plaza, those are UCF DORMS. That’s where my daughter will be, and yes they are nice. Most of the apartments are 4 individual bedrooms with 2 bathrooms and 2 sinks. So you share the bathroom with one other person, but you each have a separate sink.
Another good thing about the Towers is that they have full single beds. Most (maybe all) other dorms have twin beds, which are smaller.
The downside of the Towers is that it is one of the dorms which require a calendar year contract – all 3 terms for $9,023. You do not move out between terms. Most other dorms are Fall-Spring only, and I believe you do move out at the end of each term.
Aw, I’m sorry. You’ve made a LOT of helpful contributions to this forum and we were all really rooting for you.
It’s not the end of the world. You are still you, and you will be fine. If you really have your heart set on UCF, you have to option of transferring later.
Thanks for the info, that was really helpful! I guess I’ll apply for housing for fall. I just hope there are still good dorms left to where I don’t have to share a room with a roommate but I would still be fine with that. Since I got in sort of late idk how many good dorms will be left.
Omg im so sorry for you? I know this was your dream school but you can always transfer and im sure you will get in when the time is right. You can go to Valencia for 2 years I believe and make an easy transfer to UCF if thats something you would be considering.
Hey guys I asked for an expedited decision yesterday morning and I got in right now. Thank you guys because this group helped me make my decisions on expedition and the support. Good luck to everyone else!!
My stats were
UW:3.1
W:3.6
SAT: 1190
I took 10 AP classes too
Hey guys! I just wanted to update you all… So I requested my expedited decision last thursday and I still haven’t heard back. I called UCF yesterday and they told me to keep waiting. I emailed this morning because I was really concerned and I was told that they going through my dual enrollment credits that I did this year to try and place me in the best possible spot. Since I have been a full time dual enrollment student this school year at the nearby community college this didn’t surprise me. I have about 40 college credits I will be graduating with so I understand why it would take some time. Just wanted to let you all know for those of you are considering an expedited decision or have already requested one that it may take a bit longer to hear your decision because of this. Good luck everyone!
Im so sorry to hear that. at the end of the day you will end up where you want to even if it takes an extra year. Look at this as a blessing in disguise.
Yes, i believe so. After you’re denied i don’t think they will keep you on the waitlist i think you just get rejected all together. Thats why requesting an expedited decision can be very risky.
In that case I feel like waiting until may 31st might be the best option. A lot of people will be commiting to other schools on may 1st and spots should open up.
