Yes, this Friday–tomorrow!

i got a phone call this morning! well not really… cuz i was taking my ap eng lit exam so i turned my phone off… but i got the voice mail. and i called my admission officer like crazy this afternoon and he called me back later and told me IM IN!!! =D

The blog says you have seven days to pay the fee–not seven days to accept the offer. If you don’t accept the offer by the next day, they’ll move on to the next person. If you accept the offer, you then have seven days to pay the fee.

The wait is terrible!!
I wonder if these are the last calls for the day…Hope this isn’t the end of the first round!

@lenny: Oh damn…I hope your D makes a good decision

Edit: Now I know I’ve been on here too much…100th post already…guess I should get back to cramming for APUSH

I feel yaa collegebeth

Got “the call” today. I had given up hope already that they would let me in, but it looks like I’m going to their College of Engineering come August!

I was wondering where Vandy gets the phone numbers from? Were they asked for in the application?

Yeah on the commonapp. They call your cell phone, if provided. If not, then your home phone, I believe

do they notify you even if you aren’t chosen for the waitlist?

You just get an e-mail at the end saying that they closed the waitlist

For those interested in knowing the length of each “wave,” I was accepted off the waitlist on the 6th which was a day after most others.

this year? but they only started sending out notifications on May 5…

Yea i got the call on May 6th this year, I was just posting to make sure people don’t get too distraught if they don’t receive a call on the first day of each wave. However, I haven’t seen any other people who received a call the same day as me so maybe someone turned down the offer on the 5th and I got their spot the next day.

oh i see hahaha congrats :)

Thanks! Good luck to you!

Can anyone advise if calls have been made since 5/9/11 from the wait list. Also, can anyone advise if offers of admission from the wait list provide a reasonable amount of time to review any financial aid that might be extended prior to having an offeree make a final decision.

i was given a week to let them know my final decision and got an email with financial aid information two days after they called, hope that helps

Did offered financial aid include scholarship grant monies in contrast to need-based aid?

bear1993, when were you called?
