WAITLISTED APPLICANTS Class of 2019

Fingers crossed there is

I’m guessing that there will be another round, albeit smaller in number. It appears that BC is taking kids off the waitlist and giving them a short timeframe to respond. Each student who is offered a spot and doesn’t take it frees up a space for another person to be taken off the waitlist.

@whr2go15 Can you please give us an update…did you accept or decline?

@Massmom2015 same to you all the best of luck. It is all really in Jesus’ hands…

I know that the UC’s (some at least) have stretched the waitlist timing out till 3/31. No comparison to BC, but $ etc can play into the decision making for college. Everyone seems to be playing musical chairs.

Massmomma - declined. Couldn’t get our D over the line on the housing issues

whr2go15 Sorry to hear that, hope everything works out for the best. Can you tell me which school she applied to CAS CSOM?

Massmom we are pretty disappointed, but given her situation 60 sq ft of living space was as issue. Was CAS.

whr2go15 So sorry to hear it didn’t work out…Just remember to give your d lots of encouragement I’m sure she will have a wonderful experience where every she ends up! Don’t be to hard on yourself things have a way a working out for the best.

@DevlinHall208 Will there be anymore offers?

Has anyone heard of a third round? My S is still hoping!!

Does anyone know if BC is intentionally ignoring us? Because it has been forever and they still haven’t updated us or replied on CC

This was BC’s last communication (on 5/17) on the waitlist subject: “The second round of offers were sent on Friday afternoon. We do not know if there will be another round of offers. In the event we clear the wait list, all students will receive an e-mail with this news. There is no specific timeline.”
So given that there is not a specific timeline and there is still a lot of musical chairs going on out there (Some of the Universities of California are pushed until June1st) - but I think the chances become more scarce as the time goes by. :frowning:

The email reply I received earlier today from one of the admissions officers: “The waitlist is still active. We hope to email decisions within the next two weeks.”

in the words of the great Philosopher (of the about-to-be-named Evil Empire), Yogi Berra: it ain’t over 'til its over.

Wishing all you wait listers happy thoughts. Finish your HS career strong.

@HelloJennifer So I’m wondering if they are only sending emails to potential waitlisters that will receive an offer of admissions. Did anyone else receive and email? Good luck to you also…It’s to bad there not transparent with all of the people on the waitlist by sending all an update or post on BC Twitter or BC Facebook.

The word in HelloJennifer comment is “Reply” so it appears she sent an email to BC concerning the waitlist. I would then conclude that emails were not just sent to those who looked more hopeful than others.

Have never posted before but thought I’d let you know that the waitlist is still active. Our son got off the waitlist yesterday. We have not received official notice yet, but heard through an admissions rep, and checked his portal and he has indeed been accepted.

Haven’t posted before either, but earlier this week our child turned down an acceptance from the wait list that had been offered a couple of weeks back. For those of you keeping track, it was COS.

@Mom613 Maybe your right, but it would be nice if there was more transparency in the procedure and selection of who is a viable candidate and who would not be selected. Still trying to be hopeful like everyone else but it would reduce the amount of stress and give those a chance to move on. It might be a good thing to do the latter than the former.
