Waitlisted at UCF

Hi so I was just accepted a waitlist spot at UCF yesterday. My stats - UCF Recalculated GPA = 3.541 and SAT 1190 (going to retake in 2 weeks hoping for a 1300 or better). Wha do you think my chances are of getting offered a summer admission???

Not sure what you mean you “accepted a waitlist spot.” I’m guessing you were “deferred” and are now on the wait list.

Are you a Florida resident? If so, you have 75% Bright Futures already. If you get 1260 or higher on your retest, you will have 100%.

If you do get accepted for summer, you should know that all that means is you must take ONE ONLINE course during Summer B. You do NOT have to be a resident student at UCF during the summer.

Good luck!

I got waitlisted too :frowning: I really want to go here.
But my stats are:
Weighted: 5.1
Unweighted: 3.1
SAT: 1130

Extracurriculars:
HOSA-
member for 4 years, won awards at the regional level, and I was historian last year and VP this year
NHS-
Member for 3 years
SWAT-
member for 2 years, President this year
SGA-
Member for this year

I also teach 3-5-year-old kids at my church every Sunday and have planned multiple events for over 300 people.
I have won 2 presidential volunteer service awards for the highest tier.
I am also a varsity swimmer and coach’s assistant.

Anyways I know my SAT is really low but I feel as if I have done so many extracurriculars and the kids that got in at my school barely come to school which is really annoying. I’m praying for you though.

If you manage to get a 1290 or higher on your next SAT, then you would satisfy the SAT requirement for 100% bright futures.

Son is waitlisted with a 4.1 W, 3.6 UW, 1230 SAT. So how did you figure out your “UCF recalculated GPA”? Is it listed somewhere that my son can check what UCF recalculated his as or did you just calculate it yourself? Thanks!

Attend Valencia and then transfer over.

@GetaKloo2 GPA is recalculated using the 4 cores and Foreign Language. Weighted .5 for honors and 1 point for AP/IB/DE.
