<p>Hey, anyone out there on the waitlist? What do you think our chances are this year? Please share if you've been taken off the waitlist or simply posting general discussion regarding the waitlist for this year.</p>
<p>For last 2-3 years, the number accepted from the waitlist is 0.</p>
<p>Waitlisted from ILR. Don’t want to get any hopes up, but considering the admission rate this year was terribly low and that a friend of mine (who got accepted and is more familiar with Cornell stats than me) says that he knows a bunch of accepted people who are declining their spots, anything’s possible. I keep jumping up with terror and anxiety every time I hear my home/cell phone ringing or I get an email notification.</p>
<p>Any news yet, guys?? When should we hear back?</p>
<p>Would giving the admissions office a call to check on the app status be too obnoxious?</p>
<p>@ladyelizabeth: Ahahahaha I know that feeling way too much. I get startled when a phone rings, and I’m pretty sure it’s going to give me an aneurysm eventually if Cornell doesn’t accept/reject me soon. </p>
<p>@mada: I think the waitlist can stay open until June. And I don’t think a simple phone call would be that obnoxious to them.</p>

<p>I sent in a letter of continued interest on why Im still interested and I listed a short paragraph of my current gpa and my recent achievements. I also mailed in an additional letter of rec from my class advisor (: </p>

<p>Doesn’t this mean that Cornell’s yield wasn’t in its projected range?</p>
<p>Maybe it is in its projected range now unlike the last 3 years in which it has been over the range and the waitlist was not used due to overenrollment. Frankly, I like this better. Now the waitlist is actually a waitlist, not an extended rejection list.</p>
<p>Just got an email today telling me that I’m off the waitlist for the College of Arts and Sciences… What do I do now?!</p>
