<p>My daughter is also on the wait list and just wanted to let all of you know that I spoke with the admissions office this morning and they said that the decision would be released online today, they just couldn’t give a specific time. They also said that the housing application cancellation had nothing to do with their admission decision and suggested I call the housing office. The housing office confirmed that applications are automatically cancelled after May 1st, if a student has not accepted admission. In the case of students who are on the wait list, their housing application will be reactivated if they are accepted to UT, with the original date that they applied for housing. Once you are accepted, you should just confirm this with housing. Good luck to all of you! I graduated from UT, so I know what a great school it is and I hope all of you get in

<p>So unfortunately I wasn’t admitted off of the wait list. I feel like it’s deja vu all over again. My status does still say that my appeal is in review so I guess I don’t have a final answer, but I think I’ve given up on UT. So goodluck to everybody else and hopefully y’all get in!</p>

<p>Called admissions and confirmed these are final decisions and there is no appeal. He said a very very small number of applicants got in because of the record number of acceptances. He would not give me the actual number. I told them what happened with the so called glitch was ridiculous and they should have let the decisions stand given what went out seems to have been accurate. I hope they handle it better for next year’s crop. Sign me “thoroughly ****ed off.”</p>

<p>Probably people who applied to a rare major. I’m sorry none of us got in, but everything happens for a reason. We don’t need to attend UT to accomplish great things, and just because we don’t start there doesn’t mean we won’t change the world. I’m a big believer in “everything happens for a reason”, and God or whoever y’all believe in has bigger plans for us than that. Good luck to each and every one of you who are still going somewhere else and just think about it like this…at least we tried.</p>
