Just got the update — rejection
So is it safe to assume that if you haven’t received anything, you’re still in the running for admission or Z-list?
I was rejected – but I would assume that some people are still on the running because those who were admitted off the wait list still have a week to decide
Rejection also means rejection from any Z list chance right?

Hi everyone, I see a “wait list update” under my application checklist dated 4/24/2018, but I have not been rejected like some of the others here that also had the “wait list update” under their application checklist. My last status update was on March 28 when I originally was waitlisted. I’m so confused.
Are you seeing the rejection update in the same place where the initial decision updates were posted? I’m not seeing anything, but I’m pretty sure, if anyone, I would be getting a rejection.

Congrats on your choices!!! I wasn’t able to go through the entire thread, but I believe that you guys got into some great other programs as well such as Columbia engineering and Brown-RISD.
Harvard is an amazing school too, but I just wanted to quickly share my experience regarding waitlists. I also got off a waitlist at a school that I really liked before, and may be more “prestigious” than the one I’m attending, but all these schools offer such amazing opportunities that I think you should really check fit academically and socially more than anything before committing. (I chose to stick with the school I committed to in April)
You’ll do best at a school that you love, especially at schools with those kinds of resources.
I’d suggest that you post in the College Search/Selection, Harvard, and your respective “other” school forum. You’ll get biased answers in the latter two, but that can be helpful head to head.

Rejected! It’s okay Stanford has better weather anyways, but I guess this means I can officially say goodbye to my Cambridge Dream…
Moreover, buyer’s remorse is real, especially when you give up on something you accepted initially haha.
No updates here! My portal hasn’t changed since I sent in my LOCI.
I have one of the mysterious updates in my checklist, but I haven’t gotten rejected. Maybe it just genuinely means they made a note on your application, be it positive, negative, or neutral.
I genuinely hope so @hopefulstudent22. I’m in the same boat as you.
So those of us who heard nothing/ have no updates on Applicant checklist are on the waitlist for now?
Well, it’s a rejection for me, as well. This will probably be my last post on CC, but I want to thank everyone for fostering such a supportive and helpful environment on here. I honestly don’t know how I would’ve managed my anxiety throughout this college admissions process without y’all. Again, thanks to everyone, and congrats to those admitted! Dartmouth '22!
