My son was waitlisted too, but it’s funny how things work out. Otterbein was one of his top choices, but during the waiting period his interest waned and he accepted another school.I now understand why many schools accept way over the number of students they need–colleges who waitlist (rather than over-offering) lose out in April, when students get excited about schools where they have firm offers.
The waiting is very hard. Husband and I are excited about another school, but we will see what happens! Would be great to know now rather than when it is too late to get a refund!
We are still on the wait list as well and haven’t heard anything. We happily embraced another option as it is so late in the game!
Just got an email from Otterbein this morning releasing D from the wait list and saying they have filled their class.
@stagedoormama, does that mean she was taken off the waitlist, and is accepted? If so, congrats! If not, no worries, everything works out the way it’s supposed to!
@kksmom5- “released from the wait list” means you are no longer being considered by the school. If she was “accepted off the wait list” that would have been cool, but she is already happily committed somewhere else!
My son received an email that BFA MT is full and that they are not taking anyone from the wait list this year.
