Hey one02many, I am waitlisted at BC too. I am attending Bucknell if I don't get off the waitlist, but I was also considering Penn State.

Just got the mail and still no word from the waitlist.... this isn't looking good. Does anyone know if they have actually started sending out rejection letters?

I just called BC. The woman who answered the phone said they had gone to their waitlist for "a few" people and they are pretty much done. However, you will be notified either way by June 15th. Now if they know they won't be calling more from the list, why drag things out. Let most of the waitlist know right now and end the torture.

On the other hand, my GC called the other day and was told that they were sending out more offers yesterday and today. I think they are playing games with us.

My D's GC called today as well and was told that they had extended all their waitlist offers and it was highly unlikely she would come off at this point. Oh well, life goes on. I think my D is taking it better than I am since I'm an alum

On Tuesday I found out that I had been taken off the waitlist and offered admission. My GC recieved a call first and I then recieved a letter about a day later. I went down today to make my final decision and absolutely loved it. I will be attending in the Fall. I spoke to my admissions rep and she confirmed that only a few were taken off the list. Good luck to all those still waiting.

Congrats BenJNH....i have a friend who also got in on wednesday and will be attending.

so i guess if we havent heard by now we wont be getting in?

dang. i dont like colleges

spoke to 2 people from admissions.... one said no1 else is getting off list, the other said they might take another wave of students off, but arent sure yet, and regardless we should hear by the end of next week.

anyone heard anything else?

Rejected

Got the letter today.

i still haven't heard.. has anyone else heard.. good news or bad?

my daughter has not heard anything...

S received a letter today indicating that only a very limited number were accepted off the waitlist and that the class is now full. Disappointed, but very happy with the school he will attend. Good luck to all, wherever your future may be.

where do u guys that recieved letters live?

I got the letter and didn't get taken off the waitlist. Good riddance, I'm going to BU and am much happier than I would be if I was going to BC. If you guys haven't heard yet, unless you're on the other side of the country, you most likely didn't get taken off the waitlist. I live in New Jersey, for any of you going based on location.

i live in Rhode Island

anyone else hear?

my d got the same letter today. Glad the wait is over...

The fact that i was waitlisted and then rejected is fine. But I have lost all respect for Boston College becuase of this:

On Wednesday I called and spoke to the woman reading the RHode Island applications. We have been speaking since I was put on the waitlist. I asked her if there was anything else I could do at this point. She said "Send me a fax with recent awards and accomplishment", and was very encouraging. How incredible is it that she would want to waste my time. I received a rejection letter two days later. The mail takes two days to get to me in RI from BC. I WAS ALREADY REJECTED!!!! She made me waste two hours in school meticuloulsy forming a letter that I had about 9 billion teachers read for errors, when I was alreay rejected.

I understand that this is a numbers game and it is nothing personal. So like i said, I am not upset at the fact that I was rejected. But to give someone false hope like that. Come on! How ridiculous.

I also talked to some alums who were very upset about this incident, might even call to complain.

All i have to say is HOW RUDE!
