@ballet97 Texas State has made offers to at least 3 females and one male (prob more??). These were made prior to the final 20 priority hold wait list was released. I don’t know if the final 20 includes the offers already on the table. Hard to say. We know of 5 women, including my D, without offers who are on this list. Your D would be the 6th. We also know of 3 guys in the same boat. It’s an interesting process and a nail-biter for sure especially since Kaitlin and her team sell the program so well. And, with the price tag, who wouldn’t want to attend there? It’s very appealing! Best of luck to your D!
OK D is waitlisted at JMU for their MT program but accepted into the Theater program!! She is thrilled actually and praying she gets off the waitlist before May 1st although they stated after that date in the notification. Knowing they accept so few and having seen a show and musical rehearsal which were top notch,makes her feel proud at not being denied!
Question, if you will not be notified of getting off waitlist till after may 1st and you have to accept other offers by then what do you do???
You put down your $100 deposit for your next choice school by May 1st. All the schools know that things shift after May 1st, so they understand if you get taken off a WL and decide to go to that school instead. You SHOULD NOT put deposits on more than one school…
Also, if your child has multiple acceptances and they know they won’t be attending certain schools, let them know ASAP so other people’s children can come off the WL for that school. Be courteous.
