Waitlists, Holds & Defferals etc. 2020

My D has friends all hearing things today. Im surprised. The waiting is hard!

@ballet97 any friends accepted at Texas State? I know our Ds are both waiting to hear. Good luck!

@ballet97 who all are they hearing from?

And how? Calls? Emails? Snail mail?

No, haven’t heard of any acceptances from Texas State, but OCU and some Penn State results came out today. Both emails @ohmtmom @4gsmom

TSU acceptance out (see accepted lists)! Congrats!

Has anyone heard from TCU and when is the “final” TX state list out ?

I don’t think anyone has heard from TCU. I haven’t.

ive heard from tcu and so have my friends.

That’s great, @Fortworthian, what have you and your friends heard from TCU & when? I had understood they were saying the first week of March for all decisions.

@Fortworthian how did you find out about TCU?

WHere is the Texas State acceptance list? I know we got an email last week saying they were cutting hold from 40 to 20 today, but we haven’t heard anything yet.

did anyone determine if someone has heard from TCU?

I know 1 who was cut last night and 1 who made the list of 20 at Texas state last night

The process Texas State is taking seems to be… unusual. Wouldn’t the very final decisions of yes, no, or wait be enough, would it?

For a detailed summary of one parent’s saga with Texas State, check out this thread (see post #17 and following):

For the most part Texas State tries to let you know early in the process if you are still under consideration or not. Hence the priority hold. However the wait list process seems to be very much undefined as to who gets an offer off the wait list if an original offeree declines. Pretty straightforward to that point though.

And so far as I can tell, the Texas State decisions have been MT.

I think my D is now one of the 20 for Texas State. Did they make offers from that 20? Did they make offers to more than a class size? Email mentioned next offers in early April, but we got a “yes” from her 2nd choice that asks for a committment by April 1. She’s so thankful and humbled, but the process is nailbiting.

@ballet97 You’re D’s second choice school can not force her to commit by April 1st. See post #51
