Waiving SHIP

Hello,

I was just working on filling out my SHIP waivement application.
The thing is I don't have an insurance but the application requires me to fill out information about my insurance.

Does that I mean I cant waive SHIP because I don't have an insurance right now?
(this doesn't make sense because I need UCLA insurace more than people who have their insurances)

When is the deadline to waive SHIP?
What can I do to waive my SHIP?
This means I can't do it online?

Uh … why would you waive SHIP if you don’t have an insurance? It is mandatory that you have a health insurance while attending UCLA. So if you don’t have one, then don’t waive SHIP.
The deadline to waive SHIP for the fall quarter is Sept 18. For winter, it’s Dec 18. For Spring, it’s March 20th.
The only options to waive SHIP that I know of is either online or call/visit the Ashe Center (and do it before the deadline).

If you don’t have health insurance you may not waive SHIP. End of discussion.

if i waived SHIP last year, do i have to fill out something again?

Your question doesn’t make sense. If you need UCLA insurance, when why are you waiving SHIP?

Yes, every year.

SWEET THANKS!!!^^^^ i almost had to pay extra

wait I’m confusssed
then how do I apply for UCLA basic insurance??

Dude, do you know what the word “waive” means? You don’t have to do anything to get UCLA insurance. It’s automatically included in your fees.
