From CSS/College Board: Wake Forest has a need-blind admissions policy: students are ac- cepted without regard to their ability to pay, and the university pledges to meet their full demonstrated financial need through scholarships, loans, and work–study. Two-thirds of undergraduates receive financial aid.
Not for International students though.
Edit: This information on College Board isn’t correct and they are need aware.
@jpgpa13 every search I did comes up with WF not on list of need blind. College Transitions has a table that says updated as of October 21 with WF listed as not need blind. WF Medical school is listed as one of the 104 colleges that are need blind on another search. I am not actually arguing with you I am trying to educate myself and validate whether WF is need blind or not.
You guys are lucky. When S attended admissions were notified via snail mail (domestic). Based on your local postal service, could take a week or longer to learn of results (after you see everyone else responding). This was as recent as 2017. Don’t know when (or if) they changed that. Back then. Wake and W&M were the ones I knew that did snail mail, however, W&M would send an email indicating good news was coming.
Understand. I have seen the same in Google searches. I posted from a big write up College board did about Wake. One of my daughters is a Freshman there so we can verify to be positive.
Good luck today everyone! If you get in make sure your family fills out the Family Record Form and gets on email list for Daily Deac, etc. Family Day is Oct 7-9 so get those hotel reservations asap! If anyone has any questions I’ll be glad to try answer them. Go Deacs!
