Susan in the Honors College is very kindly working on an itinerary for my daughter and I for our visit later this month. I’ve not yet received a final schedule but last I followed up with Susan about 10 days ago she said we’d be meeting with the Dean of the HC at 8:30 and then going on our tour at 10:00 (which we had signed up for online). I’ve looked at the campus map but I am worried about the distance between Nott Hall and the southern end of the stadium where the admissions tour departs. How long will it take us to walk that? We don’t want to miss the bus! We also don’t want to feel rushed through our meeting with the Dean. Does the timing work?

Thanks for any help you can provide.

My estimate would be about 15-20 minutes to walk from Nott Hall to the south side of the stadium. You basically just walk across the quad, and then it’s a few blocks to the stadium. Assuming your meeting doesn’t last more than an hour (and that it begins on time), you should be fine. The tours probably don’t start on time anyway.

When my D did her visit, she went to the honors college first, and someone from the honors college walked D and H to the start of the tour. My D had one of the rare disorganized honors college visits, and they still got her to the tour on time, so I think they’ll be watching to make sure you get where you need to be on a timely basis.

That’s so good to hear! Thanks to you both for the info.

We met Dr. Sharpe last. Our car was at the Stadium because we started with the campus tour. Dr. Sharpe was kind enough to find a student worker to drive us back to the car in a golf cart.

I recommend e-mailing Susan to see if a student to drive you to the stadium.

Dr. Sharpe was great. You will want to speak with him as long as possible.
