Hi everyone. I'm an 18-year old white male living in Rhode Island, who is trying to get into Duke '12 through Early Admission. I have this information posted in the "What are my chances?" forum, but I wanted to get the opinions of current Duke students. What do you all think?

Well there you have it-my life in one thread post. Once again, what are my chances at Duke Early Admission? Also, what other schools do you think I should look at this summer?

Thanks for your time!

Your chances aren't too bad at all.. grades, SAT II's, and EC's are all tops! If you can get your M+CR composite to at least a 1450, I would say that you would definitely get in Early Decision. Good luck.

Umm.. as for other schools.. I would probably say if you are interested in Duke.. you would also probably be interested in Penn and Dartmouth.

Thanks Coola. Anyone else?

Work on your SAT 1's, break 1450-1460 and you have a good shot.

Check out Dartmouth, Penn, Princeton, Stanford - schools most similar to Duke in my opinion.

Let's say hypothetically I decide to submit both my ACTs and SATs. Do you think admissions will consider only my 31 composite and my 800/780 SAT II scores? If so, is that sufficient for acceptance?
